I'm too old to fall!

These smooth cobblestone streets are killing me

All these ancient stone streets that have been rubbed completely smooth over time are like one big obstacle course! Today they got the better of me. I have been slipping and twisting my ankles for days now, but today I actually went down. All I could think of was my sister Erin's voice telling me I was too old to fall! A slightly bruised knee seems to be the worst of it this time, so of course my immediate response was to, you guessed it, go climb some more stairs! I did let Baylie tackle the bell tower on her own, but I couldn't pass on the fortress.
Kastel Kamerengo in Trogir:

We are in Trogir now, about 30 minutes from Split. It's smaller and seems to have a very different atmosphere. Less "see-and-be-seen", more families with little kids. We're in a hotel now and we do miss our perfect little apartment. That neighborhood in Split felt very comfortable! But tomorrow we go on an adventure to Krka national park to see lakes and waterfalls, so we're excited to be somewhere new.

FALLING....not a good thing!! So glad you're able to go on. Oh, these pictures!! LOVE!! A real step back in time. Those with the laundry hanging remind me of an old movie with Sophia Loren and Cary Grant. Those buildings could be right out of that movie. The contrast of modern mixed with the old castle....amazing! Bayle is a natural. She looks so at home in every shot. I'm loving this trip!
