A Travellerspoint blog

Not quite foreign, but not quite familiar...

Took a walk around a beautiful city park this morning. Found our way to the main central plaza area of the city. Took advantage of the free evening hours at the Prado art museum. We see restaurants, but nobody eating at any of themm at the times our brains tell us to eat. Everyone is on such a different schedule it's strange. We finally went in to eat dinner at about 8:30. We're just programmed to order, eat, and leave, but the local thing seems to be order, eat, drink, stay for a really long time, order more, drink more, go somewhere else, order something else, drink there too...
We're taking a train south on Wednesday to see Gibraltar, go to a beach, and take a day trip to Morocco. After that we'll start heading for Barcelona.

How had the food been in Spain? I'm curious to hear about the food's authenticity. Lodging work out?
