Arrival in Venice...sort of
9/12/11
Our train ride was smooth and easy this morning, unlike the last one! We had bought our tickets online last night and had actual assigned seats. But the directions to our "camping village" were pretty complicated so I wanted to go straight there and make sure we could find it. As soon as we arrived in Venice we barely got a glimpse of the Grand Canal and immediately got on a bus for the little town on the outskirts where Camping Village Jolly (that's the actual name) is located. We got off at the wrong stop - not entirely our fault - and had to walk a REALLY long way. Thank goodness for the GPS on Shawn's phone! We finally found our jolly little place and I have to say it feels great to be surrounded by trees for a change. There's a pool, so Baylie's happy. She immediately went and swam about 20 laps. They have a shuttle that will take us into Venice in the morning so we will have two full days to explore the city.

What a cute little place!! It looks like the perfect kick-back spot to relax for a while. Having a shuttle is great, too!! It must feel good after living in cities for so long. Roast some s'mores for me! xoxoxo
