Last Day in Florence

Today we went to the Pitti Palace. Very impressive collections, ceilings (they have a thing for ceilings here, of course), and we especially enjoyed the HUGE gardens around the palace. We were there for hours. Afterwards we had lunch in a nice little sidewalk restaurant in an alley away from the crowds, complete with an accordian player. Tomorrow we leave for Rome and my head is already spinning with the number of sights that are on the "must-do" list!IMG_3843

Next to the picture of Baylie posing with the cat "enjoying historical significance," you should have posted the picture Shawn took of a motorcycle from his FB page. LOL The poses with the statues are terrific! Did you see that big giant head in the gardens? (Shawn could have had a picture with that one, too!) xoxo

Hi you guys. Loved the pictures and many from Florence we actually saw too. I love the pose that Shawn made by the fountain!!! Tell Baylie her cats are doing great. They are really entertaining and so loving, especially Pismo! You will have a awesome time in Rome - so much to see. How manys days are you going to be there? I loved the comment about the cementary! We have visited many over the years. Take care and enjoy.
