Still hanging out in Selcuk...might never leave

Kidding, Mom!

We love this small town! We go to the beach, we hike around ancient ruins, we eat great food, we stop in and visit with people and drink hot apple tea for hours. Yesterday the guy at the beachside lunch shack played frisbee with us then taught us to play backgammon. We originally only booked 3 nights here, but by the time we leave on Monday we will have been here for seven. Two days ago we went to see the amazing white limestone cliff pools at Pamukkale. It was absolutely gorgeous. Today we walked to Ephesus and hiked around the ruins. It is simply beautiful and so peaceful here. Shawn can't get enough of the ancient buildings and Baylie is just thrilled to have so many stray cats wandering around! We can't walk a block without her picking up a cat. She also manages to find tortoises wandering around the ruins wherever we go. I think she's noticing the ancient stuff once in a while!IMG_3958

I get such a kick out of Shawn's poses. I was so impressed with photos of Pamukkale. Baylie looks older with every shot. She will have lived a life many only dream of by the time she's a teenager. xoxoxox

I just get more and more jealous every time I read your posts! It makes me want to take a month off and meet you guys! Keep the beautiful pictures coming...maybe I'll get to see Turkey myself someday.

If that offer goes for Mom, where will you be mid to late March? I'm thinkin' about it! xoxo

Should be in Argentina. I think that's what Erin is shooting for too. Nothing especially resort-y or touristy...make it January and you can catch us in Bali.

Hmmmm....that could work. I'll check it out. Thanks!

Nah....on second thought, I'd rather go to S. America. Maybe I'll go with your sister.

Turkey looks and sounds amazing! I'm convinced you've stumbled upon an over-looked and misunderstood destination here. Kellen and Kaley both had lessons on the Ottoman Turks, this week, in social studies, so they love the pictures. You've said the food has been good there, so we want to know what's for dessert there? Kaley would also enjoy being able to walk the streets and play with kitty cats all day.
