Our Indiana Jones Day

Of course all Indiana Jones had to worry about were those pesky Nazis. If he had to deal with the far more aggressive sales people, camel ride pushers, crooked "tourist police", and giant tour bus groups he never would have gotten his hands on that ark!

We had a very good time exploring the amazing pyramids today and the Egyptian Museum was outstanding. Baylie was most excited about the mummy room and Shawn was jazzed about the King Tut collection. Fortunately, the museum is still there to see - it stands right next to a burned out government building that was destroyed in the revolution riots several months ago. We drove through Tahrir Square on our way back to the hotel and we crossed the Nile a couple of times today. So a little bit of modern history along with our dose of ancient times. Pretty spectacular really.

Outstanding pictures! (I'm thinking of alerting the policeman that you didn't erase his photo. LOL)

I see you have the pictures of the pyramids far, far out in the desert. Weren't you surprised at their location? Love the pictures, you all three look wonderful. Miss you,

They were exactly like you said! There's a Pizza Hut RIGHT across from the Sphinx! It's crazy. We are pretty glad to be leaving Cairo actually.

Great pictures! The kids really liked them and Kaley was the most disappointed with the sphinx, Kellen said he was surprised the pyramids looked just like they did in Transformers 2. I've always thought Baylie looks more like Shawn, but the picture of the 2 of you together in front of the pyramid, has changed my mind. She looks so much like you! Hoping your next travel day goes smoothly!
