I'm in heaven!

After a mad sprint through the airport and barely making our flight, our travel day went well. I wish it hadn't been dark so that we could have seen some of Bangkok. Our driver said that the flooding is still very bad, but there were no flooded areas that we drove through. After a three hour drive we turned off on a short dirt road and ended up at the house we are renting. The wonderful manager just let us in and we immediately dropped into bed without any idea of where we were. This morning we woke up in paradise! It is tropical and green and peaceful with gorgeous mountains in every direction. Every person we have encoutered so far has been warm and welcoming and we are already completely comfortable. Tomorrow we are renting scooters for the week so we will be able to explore all the beaches and the naional park nearby. Baylie and already have our eyes on the kayaks to rent and the little islands just off shore.
Unfortunately I do not have internet access here so new pictures might be awhile! I can do simple posts like this with text messages from my Kindle (greatest travel gadget ever! No wifi needed.)
