Hello again, Hua Hin

In the course of our Thailand road trip we have now returned to Hua Hin. First order of business was to eat at Moon Smile and it definitely lived up to our memory! Delicious and cheap! Shawn is renting a bike tomorrow so he will be off exploring, but luckily I will still have Baylie to be my sense of direction around town. She is always better than I am at finding our way back.

Sandcastles, a slight breeze, warm water, and gentle waves

I can see clearly now the rain is gone....

We left Prachaup Khiri Khan this morning and drove to a little aquarium near there. It said there was also a butterfly garden, which is really why we went, but we never saw anything relating to butterflies. Hmmm. The aquarium was pretty weak, but it only cost a total of $2 for all three of us to get in, so I guess it was the best two dollar aquarium I have ever seen!

Before we left this morning, Baylie and I sat on a bench surrounded by hundreds of very peaceful monkeys. There's actually a big sign that says "Feed Monkeys", so they are apparently very well fed which is probably why they are so peaceful. There were several moms with their brand new little babies so we were perfectly happy to sit there for a long time watching them. At one point a young monkey with a badly hurt hand came over and sat on the bench next to me. He held out his hand and whimpered a little. I think he was saying, "Look at my hand, it really hurts." Just about the saddest thing ever! I talked to him for a while, then he took off.

We're at a cool little guesthouse now called "Happy Mind" and I have to say we are all in a happy state of mind!
